Mr. Leithart is licensed to practice in all Ohio trial and appellate courts, the United States District Court and the Sixth and Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. His experience includes representing clients in the Franklin County, Ohio Probate, Municipal, Common Pleas and Domestic Relations courts, various other county common pleas and municipal courts, Ohio Courts of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court. In federal court, he has represented clients in the district courts located in Columbus, Cleveland, Kentucky and in Miami, Florida. Mr. Leithart has also represented clients in litigation arising out of bankruptcy cases. His experience in the Federal Courts of Appeals includes the courts in Cincinnati and Atlanta. He has represented clients in matters which were brought before the United States Supreme Court. He also has represented clients before various administrative agencies.
Mr. Leithart's areas of practice include civil litigation and trials, real estate transactions and litigation, personal injury and insurance law, estate planning, and probate. His litigation experience includes real estate disputes, business litigation involving corporations, limited liability companies and sole proprietorships, landlord-tenant matters, insurance contract issues, libel, injury cases involving traffic crashes, employer-employee disputes, will contests, and family law issues.
Since 1988, Mr. Leithart has been a principal in the firm. He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Central Ohio Association for Justice. He is currently a member of the Common Pleas, Family Law and Probate Committees of the Columbus Bar Association. Mr. Leithart also served on the Ethics Committee of the Columbus Bar Association from 2007-2011. Mr. Leithart has been a speaker at attorney continuing education seminars involving real estate and ethics issues.
Mr. Leithart resides in Gahanna, Ohio. During that time he has served in several leadership roles in the community. He is past president of the Woodside Green Civic Association. From 1988 through 1997, he was the Director of Public Safety for Gahanna. He also served on the city's Charter Review Committee. Currently, he is a member of the Gahanna Civil Service Commission, which is responsible for oversight of the civil service rules and regulations for unclassified employees of the city.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan in 1977 with a double major in Business Law and History. In 1981, he graduated from Capital University Law School, cum laude.
Mr. Leithart and his wife, Denise, have four adult children. They enjoy golfing and travel. They manage a small residential real estate company together, and his wife is a ballet instructor. In addition to golf, he enjoys all sports, reading and political issues.
